The Stalinpaltz Fatuous-Aggrandizer's Thanksgiving Tribute

At the facebook page of the weekly newspaper formerly known as the New Paltz Times, the local celebration of Halloween was covered before, during, and after with multiple orgasms about how wonderful it is.

For Thanksgiving the story a day or two before was about "the virus," which disappeared after someone called the accompanying graphic a "virus centerfold."

The Thanksgiving Day story was a celebration of Middle School students being given the "privilege" of having lockers. It was too trivial a matter for anything more than a sentence, but the paper's great trivializing reporter Terence Ward gave it full coverage, as if the lockers were such heartwarming news that they bumped the national holiday from the lead. "This isn't Halloween, after all," the story selection said.

Then I remembered that local "opinion leaders," which includes those who support members of the school board not participating in the Pledge of Allegiance at their meetings, likely disapprove of Thanksgiving and are at the least embarrassed by celebrating it with their own families. The less said, the better, unless it's to remind everyone that as we approach our great holidays this year, the state of emergency is reemerging, just in time.
